Your Hero Handbook #2: Kill the Script (The Energy Pillar)

We’ve all seen it. You’re scrolling through Instagram or TikTok, and a property video pops up.

The agent is standing in a beautiful, $3 million Sentosa cove bungalow. The lighting is perfect. The drone shots are cinematic. But as soon as the agent opens their mouth, the magic dies.

“Welcome... to... this... stunning... five... bedroom... luxury... residence...”

They aren’t talking to you. They are reading a teleprompter like their life depends on it. Their eyes are darting, their posture is stiff, and their "energy" is about as exciting as a flat Coke.

At Creators Savvy, we call this The Script-Reading Robot. It’s the number one reason why viewers scroll past even the most expensive property tours.

Welcome to Your Hero Handbook #3. Today, we’re diving into the 'E' of our BELMI framework: Energy.

Why Energy Wins Every Single Time (The Vibe Check)

In the Singapore real estate world, agents often think that "Authority" means being "Serious." They think they need to sound like a secondary school principal delivering a lecture on interest rates.

Here’s the truth: Property is emotional.

Buyers don't choose the agent who can recite the master plan the fastest. They choose the one they feel a connection with. They choose the one whose energy feels right.

Think of it as a Vibe Check. Before a client ever calls you to sell their HDB or find their next investment, they’ve already "met" you through your content. If you show up with "Robot Energy," they’ll assume you’re just as stiff and transactional in real life.

But if you show up with Hero Energy? You become the go-to name before they even hit "send" on that DM.

Finding Your Energy Type: It’s Not About Being "Loud"

One of the biggest misconceptions we hear from agents is: "I'm not an extrovert, so I can't be good on camera."

Wrong.

Energy isn't about being a "Hype-man" (unless that's actually you). It’s about alignment. At Creators Savvy, we help our realtors identify their specific Energy Type.

When you stop trying to act like a generic "Successful Agent" and start leaning into your natural vibe, the camera stops being a threat.

1. The Hype-man (High Octane)

This is the agent who brings the heat. They are enthusiastic, fast-talking, and genuinely excited about every balcony and kitchen island. Their energy is infectious. If you love people and love talking, this is your lane.

  • Hero Move: Use your hands. Move around. Let your excitement show.

2. The Calm Strategist (The Authority)

You don’t need to shout to be heard. The Calm Strategist has a steady, grounded energy. They speak with quiet confidence, focus on the "why," and make the viewer feel safe.

  • Hero Move: Maintain steady eye contact. Use intentional pauses. Focus on being the "guide" rather than the "salesperson."

3. The Relatable Big Sister (The Connector)

This energy is all about warmth and approachability. You’re the agent who tells it like it is, shares the "real" side of property hunting, and feels like a trusted friend you’d go for bubble tea with.

  • Hero Move: Use casual language. Smile with your eyes. Show the BTS (Behind The Scenes) of your day.

How to Kill the Robot: 3 Practical Steps

If you’re still feeling like a piece of cardboard every time the red light turns on, try these three hacks that we use with our clients during our cinematic property + personal content shoots.

1. Treat the Camera Like Your Favourite Client

The lens is glass and plastic. It’s cold. It’s intimidating.
Stop looking at it as a camera.

Imagine the lens is your favourite client: someone you’ve already closed three deals for, someone who trusts you and laughs at your jokes. Talk to them. When you shift your focus from "performing" to "helping a friend," your face muscles naturally relax.

2. Ditch the Full Script (Use the "Point-Form" Rule)

The moment you write out a full script, you’ve already lost. You’ll spend the whole time trying to remember if you said "residence" or "home."

Instead, write down 3-5 bullet points. That’s it. Know your "hook," know your "points," and know your "call to action." Let the words in between be messy. Messy is human. Messy is relatable.

3. "10X" Your Normal Energy

The camera is an energy vampire. It sucks out about 30% of your natural personality.

If you feel like you’re being "normal," you’ll come across as bored on screen. To look "normal" on camera, you actually have to feel like you’re being a bit "extra." Be slightly more animated with your hands and a bit more expressive with your voice. It will feel weird at first, but it will look perfect on the phone screen.

From "Just Another Agent" to "The Only One"

Mastering your energy is how you stop being a commodity.

In a market where every agent is posting the same "Just Sold" graphics and stiff house tours, the agent who shows up with a recognisable, human presence wins.

This is exactly what we do at Creators Savvy. We don’t just film you; we coach you to show up confidently on camera. We help you find your "YOU-vibe™" so that your audience knows it’s you before they even see your name at the bottom of the screen.

Because at the end of the day, buyers and sellers aren't looking for a robot. They’re looking for a hero.
